I trust my teeth but they still bite my tongue

Stumbled across this one which I think I picked up in a Western: "I trust my teeth but they still bite my tongue"...I Googled around and found that someone referred to it as a Russian Proverb. However, I didn't find a direct link to just that, so I created this blog entry to keep track of it for now.
